On January 21st, select solo & ensemble students journeyed to Lakeville South High School to be critiqued. This event helps students refine their skills and gain confidence while introducing them to students and judges around the area. I remember what a nerve racking time it was waiting to play then waiting for results. So, again, I say
Thank you, Red Wing and all those from out of town, for supporting the Red Wing Band Programs! The turnout was fabulous and I met so many new people! Thank you to the Administrative Staff and School Board members that were able to attend! It does not go unnoticed. And thank you to all the students for their great performances!
Welcome to Winter Concert Season!
Our 6th grade band will be performing at 6pm on December 12 at Hovda Hall. Come and see what these students have learned thus far. They started out the school year with only an instrument and an idea. See how far they’ve come and support our 1st year band students!
That same night at 7:30pm our 7th and 8th grade bands will be performing. Here is where you’ll see the growth from learning notes and reading music to the more technical details and refinement.
Finally, join us December 19th for the High School 9th-12th grade concert. With continued refinement and interpretation you’ll be blown away by the skill these students have developed! 7pm Hovda Hall.
After each of these concerts we will have cookies in the hall for you to enjoy and get to know other band families!
Check our Events tab for updates.
